How much do I earn for each referred customer?
You earn 50% of the referred customer's first-month subscription revenue. $39.50 per Launcher, $99.50 per Scaler, $249.50 per Conqueror, $499.50 per Closer. The percentage is snapshotted the moment of signup, so future platform changes don't affect existing referrals.
When exactly do I get paid?
After the trial ends and the customer makes their first real payment. The moment Stripe sends the invoice.paid webhook with subscription_create billing reason, your payout queues. A cron runs every 15 min to dispatch via your chosen rail. You typically receive funds within minutes (Stripe Connect, PayPal, UPI) to 1-2 business days (bank ACH/SEPA).
Is there a cap on how much I can earn?
No. Refer 100 customers to Closer and you earn $49,950 in the same month. No tier ladder, no diminishing return.
What if the referred customer cancels their trial without paying?
No payout fires. The referral row stays in signed_up. We never pay before we're paid. After 90 days with no first payment, the referral expires automatically.
What if a referred customer requests a refund?
Refunds within 30 days flag the corresponding payout for admin review. We do not auto-claw-back already-dispatched payouts — once it lands, it's yours. Pending undispatched payouts get reversed. In practice, refund clawbacks affect under 1% of paid first invoices.
Can I refer myself or my own company?
No. Self-referrals are blocked at signup. Each company can only be attributed to one referrer (unique DB constraint).
Where do I find my referral link?
Sign up, then Settings → Refer & Earn. Your unique code (format RF-XXXXX-XXXXX, 50 bits of entropy) auto-generates at activation. Copy button + native share sheet for mobile.
How does attribution work? What if my friend closes the tab?
Every visit through your link sets an HMAC-signed 30-day cookie tying that browser to you. Even if they close the tab, navigate around for two weeks, then come back to /signup directly — the cookie is server-validated at checkout time as a fallback.
Can I rotate my referral code?
Yes. Pending referrals already attached to the old code remain valid. Only future signups using the old code fail to attribute.
Is there a minimum plan the customer needs to be on?
Yes — Launcher ($79/mo) or higher. Free-trial-only signups don't qualify because there's no revenue to share. Snapshotted at signup so future minimum-plan changes don't void existing referrals.
How do I track referrals and earnings?
Settings → Refer & Earn shows three KPI cards (Total / Pending / Paid Out) plus a paginated table per referred company with status, payout amount, method, and dispatch timestamp.
Is the program available worldwide?
Yes. Primary markets are US, UK, CA, AU, UAE — but referrals work from any country where Clozo legally operates. Stripe Connect (45+ countries), PayPal (200+), UPI (India), or domestic bank rails.
Are referrals subject to taxes?
Yes — commission income. US referrers earning more than $600/year receive 1099-NEC. India referrers paid via UPI/RazorpayX may be subject to TDS under Section 194-O. Consult your tax advisor.
Can I run paid ads driving traffic to my referral link?
Yes — with one rule. You can advertise on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, X promoting Clozo with your link. You may not bid on Clozo's brand keywords ("Clozo", "Clozo CRM", etc.). Paid traffic pays the same 50% as organic.
What if my referred customer upgrades during the trial?
Your payout is calculated on whatever plan they're on at first paid invoice — not signup. So if a friend starts on Launcher ($79) but upgrades to Closer ($999) before trial end, you earn $499.50, not $39.50.
